We serve clients both in Russia and in any part of the world as required by circumstances of the case. More than 50% of our cases are cross-border.
Founded as Verity Advisors in 2008 by Mikhail Krapivin, a recognized Russian anti-fraud expert, the firm was restructured in 2011 as a focused practice offering both legal and forensic services. The firm was re-named Krapivin Group and adopted brand “fraud clinic” created by Mikhail Krapivin.
In 2012 Arthur Abouzov and Mikhail Krapivin meet and work together on several complex investigations, while representing common clients, and develop a whole range of innovative approaches on top of the already existing analytical school of Krapivin Group.
In 2013 Arthur Abouzov and Mikhail Krapivin decided to evolve Krapivin Group into a highly specialized boutique (investigations, fraud clinic and litigation) AbouzovKrapivin.
Arthur Abouzov and Mikhail Krapivin built reputations of first-class experts in anti-fraud and conflict labor law while holding senior positions in leading international law and accounting firms.
Arthur Abouzov graduated with honors from the international law department of All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade. He started his career at Pepeliaev, Goltsblat and Partners (now – Pepeliaev Group). Later on he headed Employment, Pensions and Benefits practice in the Moscow office of British law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (Goltsblat BLP). Since 2012 he had been working at international law firm Baker&McKenzie, where he practiced in the areas of conflict labor law, dispute resolution and fraud investigations.

Prior to founding own practice in 2008 since 2000 Mikhail had been working in the Moscow offices of Baker&McKenzie and Noerr law firms and headed a forensic group at one of Big4 companies focusing primarily on corporate and financial investigations.
Mikhail graduated with honors from the international law department of The Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) and from The University of Chicago (Master of Public Policy). He also successfully completed executive education program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
In 2012 a prestigious international authority Who’s Who Legal recognized Mikhail Krapivin as a leading Asset Recovery expert in Russia.
